Event Details: Wilson is a provider of research-based reading and spelling programs for all ages. Its multisensory, structured curricula - Fundations®, Wilson Just Words®, and the Wilson Reading System®, have been proven highly effective.

With Wilson, the path to meeting literacy objectives is all mapped out. The best way to achieve literacy success is to identify the individual student's needs and then implement the correct teaching strategy. Each model differs in practice, intensity, and duration, but all have been designed to help students master the appropriate level of literacy.

Wilson Fundations makes learning to read fun while laying the groundwork for life-long literacy. Students in grades K-3 receive a systematic program in critical foundational skills, emphasizing:

- Phonemic awareness
- Phonics/word study
- High frequency word study
- Reading fluency
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension strategies
- Handwriting
- Spelling

Fundations serves as a prevention program to help reduce reading and spelling failure. It is integral to a Multi-tiered System of supports (MTSS) or Response to Intervention (RTI) framework, providing research-based instruction in Tier 1 as well as early intervention (Tier 2) for students at risk for reading difficulties.

Please note:
- Lunch will be provided.
- Although we encourage non-member districts to register for these programs, multiple teacher discounts are only available to SRI&ETTC Member Districts.

Cost: $178 per day/per person or 7 ETTC Hours. Each additional teacher from the same district registering for the same day would be $135 or 5 ETTC Hours per person. Discounts are only available to SRI&ETTC Member Districts; discounts will be applied after workshop attendance is completed.
