Event Details: This full-day workshop is divided into two sessions. The morning session will give an overview of NJTSS and its four components. Strategies for developing district implementation in each component will be discussed. The major component of NJTSS is Response to Intervention (RTI), and its three tiers of support, accommodations and interventions for struggling students will be analyzed and explored.

The afternoon session will provide a more detailed analysis of RTI, and the specifics about how to start or refine its implementation. This dialogue and exchange of ideas will include practical suggestions about the development of an RTI team and the roles of the team members, sample RTI forms, RTI meeting formats, discussion of data analysis and SMART objectives, and suggestions for professional development and the creation of a culture of collaboration within a school or district.

Districts can send individuals or the school RTI teams to work together for planning and articulation. Participants will leave this workshop with new ideas for RTI implementation for the upcoming school year.

This workshop will be presented by Judy Feinberg.
