Teachers learn techniques to manage stress in the classroom through mindfulness and social-emotional activities and learn best practices to promote positive classroom culture. In the afternoon session, teachers examine and practice specific classroom techniques designed to help at-risk students deal with difficult emotions and practice related skills such as reflective listening, effective feedback, de-escalation, and whole brain communication. Teachers walk away from this workshop with tools to create calm and connected classrooms, where everyone can thrive.
