Event Details: Do you teach coding or plan to? Want to do the Hour-of-Code with your students but you are not sure where to start? This workshop is for you. Weather you use drag-and-drop applications like code.org or straight coding with Javascript, the logic is the same in all languages. This workshop focuses on the traits that are common to all programming languages. In this workshop we will discuss the uses and purposes of variables, parameters, conditionals, loops and functions. Knowing these basics will give you the foundation you need to emphasize what students need to learn from drag-and-drop apps and what they will need to apply to real coding.
The workshop will be presented by Phil Polsinelli, SRI&ETTC Instructor and certified Google Trainer.
